The family at 365 Overhead has lost several family members to cancer over the years, and feel strongly that today’s research is heading in the right direction with break through’s in early detection, antibody therapy and immunotherapy among others. In 16 years, cancer will become the leading cause of death in the United States, surpassing heart disease, according to a new report from the American Society of Clinical Oncology. The number of new cancer cases is expected to increase nearly 45% by 2030, from 1.6 million cases to 2.3 million cases annually. (As reported by CNN.com)

And sadly, cancer claims the lives of innocent children… Although cancer in children is less common than in adults, it is the leading cause of death by disease past infancy among children in the United States.
